EUNIC

EUNIC

Danish Cultural Institute is a member of EUNIC, the European Union National Institutes for Culture. EUNIC was founded in December 2006, in Copenhagen, and today counts with 35 members from 28 countries.

EUNIC’s members are institutions who are present in more than 150 countries with over 2.000 offices. They work within the fields of art, language, education, youth, science, intercultural dialogue and development. Members meet all over the world in so-called clusters to develop local activities. There are more than 100 clusters around the world.

 

 

EUNIC Rio is a network of the Cultural National Institutes and the EU Consulates in Rio de Janeiro.
The main focus of EUNIC Rio is to promote cultural cooperation in Rio de Janeiro through effective partnerships between cultural and educational young professionals, in view of a bigger cultural diversity and Europpean linguistic understanding.

 

 

EUNIC Rio Projects

EUNIC Rio has carried out several projects over the years, including:

 

Europe Day

Music, culture and gastronomy celebrate yearly the founding of EU, with an average public of 8.000-10.000 people. Europe Day 2018

 

Casa Europa (Europe House)

EUNIC’s organization to take part in Brazil’s largest literature festival FLIP; and FLUP, Rio’s literature festival for the city’s outskirts. Casa Europa 2019

 

Europpean Language Day

Annual event to celebrate and promote official Europpean language courses in Rio de Janeiro. Europpean Language Day 2019
